Online Bidding February 8 – March 2, 2025
For the first time, we will share gifted items from the Pence Archives, such as paintings, prints, and decorative objects by both well-known artists and unknown makers. These items have come to us from various sources, mainly from our Treasure Sale or Art Auction, and have been priced based on our research of the object’s provenance and knowledge. We are offering them in an online auction to supplement our proceeds from our Fall Art Auction. As they are in storage at the Pence, they can be viewed in-person on an appointment basis.
These works will be available for online bidding from midnight on February 8th until 5 PM on March 2nd at bit.ly/pencearchiveauction. To arrange for an in-person viewing of a particular object, please call the Pence at (530) 758-3370 to make an appointment with Director Natalie Nelson.
All of the proceeds will go to cover our operational costs, which have gone up tremendously in the past year.
Participating Artists Include
Robert Bechtle, Isabel Coochyamptewa, Steve Correia, Charles Cunningham, Troy Dalton, Roy De Forest, Leslie DuPratt, Mark Emerson, David Gilhooly, Stacy Goldenberg, Hannah Hunter, Meissen Porcelain Factor, Elizabeth McKinne, Malaquias Montoya,
Maija Peeples-Bright, Jose Pinal, Alan Post, Norman Rockwell, Allison Spreadborough, and Peter Voulkos.
