Talks and demonstrations by exhibiting artists provide the community with insight into an exhibiting artist’s work and process. Lectures by local and regional art historians shed light on contemporary concerns and current issues and provide the public with opportunities for discussion and engagement with the visual arts.

Artist Demonstration by Inga Poslitur

On the day of the Pence Gallery’s Garden Tour event, Inga Poslitur will demonstrate how she creates her lovely floral paintings, and answer questions about her exhibit during this time.

Curator’s Tour with Natalie Nelson
Saturday, May 18 | 2 – 3:30 PM
Free, suggested $10 donation

Curator Natalie Nelson will lead a gallery walk-through of the Women’s Work exhibit, exploring how participating artists critique and challenge gender roles and current definitions of femininity in their work. Whether they are celebrating the contributions of specific women who have battled injustice and discrimination in their fight for social justice, or honoring women as a whole, these artists have much to say on the subject of being a woman. This is a free event, no registration required. Women’s Work is on display at the Pence Gallery from April 12 – May 31, 2024.
